What is Innovate 2016?
Innovate 2016 is the third annual UBC Applied Science dialogue series. It brings applied research to the community and provides a pathway for industry partnerships. This year the Faculty of Medicine will co-host the event to highlight stories of UBC-linked startups with biomedical engineering roots. Experience five thought-provoking, five-minute presentations by faculty and alumni, followed by UBC President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Santa J. Ono moderating a discussion to bridge life science, medicine and engineering, and showing how these intersecting fields are advancing health care.
After the talks, networking and inspiring dialogue will be complemented by wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Who should attend?
Engineers, doctors, entrepreneurs, executives, medical professionals and people interested in innovation. By partnering with industry, Applied Science can provide real-world solutions and fruitful opportunities for investment. The time for industry to take action is now.
